Does Relokato give legal, immigration, or tax advice?

No. Relokato is not a law firm and does not provide legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice. It organises publicly available information published by official government sources into a sequenced plan. For advice about your specific circumstances, consult a licensed professional in the relevant jurisdiction.

Will Relokato tell me which visa to apply for?

No. You select the route you are pursuing and Relokato builds the plan around it. Which route fits your situation depends on personal circumstances Relokato does not assess — that decision is yours, and a licensed immigration professional can help you make it.

Does Relokato submit applications or handle my documents?

Accepted Answer

No. Relokato does not file applications, contact consulates or immigration authorities, or store your documents. There is no document upload. Every submission is made by you, directly to the relevant authority.

How is this different from asking an AI chatbot?

Every requirement in a Relokato plan links to the official source it came from, with the date that source was last reviewed. Nothing is generated on the fly, and nothing is drawn from forums, blogs, or crowd-sourced data.

How does Relokato build my plan?

Accepted Answer

You answer a short set of questions — where you are moving from and to, which route you are pursuing, who is coming with you, and roughly when. Relokato assembles a sequenced task list from that. It takes about three minutes.

How many tasks will my plan have?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your route and household. Base plans run between 22 and 24 tasks, and the plan adds tasks where they apply — pets, children, EU citizenship, and similar. A plan with a dog and two school-age children is longer than a plan for one person.

Does the plan tell me when to do each task?

Accepted Answer

Tasks are ordered in the sequence they generally need to happen, and processing times are noted where official sources publish them. Processing times vary by consulate and by individual case, so treat them as planning estimates rather than guarantees.

Can I change my route after I have built a plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can change your destination or visa route from your account settings, and your plan rebuilds around the new route. Tasks you have already completed that also appear in the new plan stay marked complete.

What if a task does not apply to me?

Accepted Answer

Some tasks will not apply to your situation — you may already hold a document another mover needs to obtain, or a step may not be relevant to your household. Mark those tasks complete to clear them from your view. The ability to hide tasks as not applicable is on the roadmap.

What sources does Relokato use?

Accepted Answer

Official government and institutional sources — immigration authorities, foreign ministries, tax authorities, national statistics offices, and central banks. Each task links to the source it draws from. Relokato does not use crowd-sourced cost data or user-submitted figures.

How current is the information?

Accepted Answer

Each destination's official sources are reviewed at least quarterly, and every task shows the date its source was last reviewed. Requirements also change without notice between reviews, so official sources are linked on every task — check them before you act on anything with a deadline attached. If you find something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Are the cost figures exact?

No. Cost figures are drawn from official sources and labelled with that source and the date reviewed. They are planning estimates, not quotes. Where a figure is shown in a foreign currency, any US dollar equivalent is approximate and reflects the exchange rate on the date shown.

What if I find something out of date?

Email hello@relokato.com with the destination, the task, and what you found. Corrections to official requirements are the fastest thing to fix and the most useful thing you can send.

Which destinations does Relokato cover?

Accepted Answer

Portugal, Spain, Mexico, and Panamá. The routes covered for each destination are listed on that destination's card.

Can I use Relokato if I am moving from outside the United States?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Plans are built around the destination's published requirements, which apply regardless of where you are moving from. Some tasks — police certificates, apostilles, document authentication — differ by country of origin, and those differences are noted where official sources specify them. The origin-specific detail is currently deepest for movers based in the United States.

Will you add more destinations?

Yes. Destinations are added based on what people on the waitlist and in the product ask for. Depth matters more than breadth, so each new destination is added with full route coverage and sourced tasks rather than as a placeholder.

Do I need an account to use the visa checker or cost calculator?

Accepted Answer

No. Both are free, require no account and no email address, and show the full result on screen. Screenshot it — it is yours.

Does Relokato store my documents?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no document upload anywhere in the product. Relokato holds no passports, certificates, bank statements, or identity documents.

Can I delete my account and everything in it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from your account settings. Deletion removes your plans, task progress, and account data.

Do you sell my data or show me ads?

Accepted Answer

No. Relokato does not sell personal information, does not serve targeted advertising, and does not allow third-party advertising cookies.
